Monday was our two year anniversary. It is crazy that we have only been married for two years. So much has happened. We have lived in two different apartments, bought a house, Kimball changed schools and majors, Kimball has had a few different jobs, I worked full time then moved to part time and then moved to stay at home mom, and the best of all, we had Alli!
Last year on our anniversary we could only go out for a couple of hours in between feedings because Alli was only a couple weeks old. Kimball did surprise me a little later by taking me out to dinner and then to the Anniversary Inn while leaving Alli at my parents.
This year Kimball was scheduled for his annual tour with the Air Force Reserves over our Anniversary, so I decided to schedule my self out of town then also. Well it ended up that Kimball didn't go to Las Vegas for the reserves and I was now going to Montana. I decided to still go ahead with my plans and we would keep the plan of doing something for our anniversary next month. We went up to Montana with some of my family and then all of them were going to go back home on Monday while Miranda and I stayed for the rest of the week. We had a good two days up there before almost everyone got sick. Alli even stayed awake for most of a 24 hour period because she was so sick. I came down with it just after her so I was struggling to take care of the both of us. It was so nice to have so much help there. Since we were so sick and thought we might need to go to the doctors and would love to sleep in our own beds, we decided to come home with the rest of the crew on Monday. I didn't tell Kimball that I was coming home. I just told him my gift for our anniversary to him was at my parents and he needed to pick it up. I thought I was doing good at my surprise but when he got there he said he already new that the present was most likely me. He even brought my present there to give to me (it was a beautiful necklace). I have never been able to surprise him before and this one failed miserably too. He's too smart. Well, I made it home for my anniversary, but I was so sick that it was no fun. It was nice to be home and to be with Kimball.
I am so grateful to be married to Kimball. He is such a great husband and father. He makes me smile and laugh. I am so blessed to have him as my eternal companion. I love him the MOSTEST!
