Kimball surprised me for my birthday with a little get away. We left on Thursday and went with Miranda and Brandon to the USU basketball game. It was soooooo fun to go to a game. I didn't get to see much of the game considering that I has a 18 month old to entertain, nut it was still fun. And one of the best parts was that my favorite half time show was that night. They have these lady's between the ages of (I think)50-92 do a line dance. They shimmy and shake there booty. And the 92 year old even did the splits. It was awesome.
On Friday Kimball took me Skiing up at Beaver Mountain while Miranda babysat Alli. I have only been skiing once before and that was 8 years ago. I was doing pretty good until Kimball accidentally lead me down a black diamond on my forth run. It freaked me out. I lost all my confidence and even cried all the way down the next run. Lets just say I went back to the bunny hill for the rest of the day. When we got done skiing Miranda notified us that Bree was throwing up so we went and picked up Alli before going up to the resort at Bear Lake.
On Saturday we woke up and ate breakfast and headed off to go swimming. Alli loved playing in the water. And Kimball and I loved taking turns getting in the hot tub to relax our sore muscles from skiing. After Alli's nap, checking out, and getting lunch, we headed off to the frozen beach. Since the lake was covered under clouds, there was a hoar frost which made beautiful crystals covering everything. Alli was so cold but she was having so much fun she didn't want to get in the car.
We made it home Saturday night and woke up in the morning to Alli crying because she had thrown up in her bed. What a great beginning to my birthday. It was so sad to watch her so sick. I decided to stay home from church with her since Kimball was teaching. She through up a few more time, but by dinner timer she was eat and drinking just fine. The good part about the day was that I stayed in my PJ's all day long and I took a two hour nap while Alli was sleeping!
Today Alli was feeling better so we decided to go to Wheeler farm since it is free and Alli loves animals. We also celebrated my birthday at my parents since we couldn't yesterday. With my mom's help, my dad made Goulash for dinner and my favorite Oreo mud ice cream to eat over brownies. Mmmmmmm.

Happy Birthday! I can't believe you went down a black diamond run. I would have cried all the way down too. Sounds like you had an eventful weekend. Glad Alli is feeling better!
I am a horrible horrible friend that I didn't even wish you a happy birthday. I feel so bad! I should remember these things but I don't. HAPPY BIRTHDAY a few days late. Looks like you had some fun times this last weekend to celebrate. Sorry it had to end in Alli being sick and you getting it too. I hope you're feeling better. I look forward to getting together next week. :)

I am so glad you were able to get away! What a great husband for surprising you!
PS--you are so photogenic!
Oh, and I felt the exact same way when I went skiing. I hated it. I nearly cried several times too. But I never went down a black! Brave!
YEAH for husbands who not only remember, but are ambitious enough to plan stuff! BOOO for sick children. You look like a happy family.
